At some point, taking risks is something that we all need to do. Yeah, it’s both fun and scary, but it’s also needed for survival. As seen in Nerve, taking chances can be dangerous, but there are sometimes opportunities for growth and change.

The horror genre is pretty much the only place where you can consistently find movies that get a pass for not having something resembling a story. With that being the way it is, it’s actually understandable why many of these movies struggle to become and remain relevant.

When done well enough, the action and adventure seen in movies can sometimes be worth buying a ticket on its own. Not only can they satisfy the audience, these elements can also hide some of the issues that a movie might have. That’s kind of what happens with Star Trek Beyond.

Revisiting older series long after their heyday is a risk. The beloved characters may not resonate the same way that they once did. With Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie the characters retain their charm, but are not presented in a way that lets the audience enjoy them in the same way as they once did.

For a multitude of reasons, there are those who want to see the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters succeed, but there are also those who want to see it fail.
